American History Through Poetry Part 2

Continue the journey of American History Through Poetry with Lisa Low. In Part 2 of this series, we move into the dramatic social, political, and cultural shifts of the 20th century and beyond. This 90-minute virtual session will explore poems connected to World War I and II, the Civil Rights Movement, feminist writing, contemporary inaugural poets, and other voices who have captured the evolving American experience.

Participants will receive poem selections and visual materials to enrich discussion and reflection. Library staff will be on hand to assist with Zoom.
