About the event
Before Dorothy ever landed in Oz, there were two unlikely friends — Glinda the Good and Elphaba, the misunderstood “Wicked” Witch. This modern Broadway phenomenon turns the story we thought we knew upside down, blending dazzling spectacle with a powerful message about friendship, prejudice, and finding your voice. We’ll explore its iconic songs, emotional core, and how Wicked redefined what it means to be “good.”
This program will be led by Paul Fredericks, a musician, composer, and educator known for his engaging, accessible approach to music and storytelling. Drawing on his background in performance and musical analysis, Paul will guide participants through the themes and music of Wicked in a way that’s welcoming to both longtime fans and newcomers alike. Learn more about Paul and his work at paulfredericksmusic.com. This program will be offered in-person at the library.
Please note: this event was rescheduled from February 26th.
