Can someone else use your library card?

Have you ever run into a situation where a grandparent, caregiver, or spouse wanted to check out books on your library account—but couldn’t?
For example, maybe a grandparent brings your child to the library, but neither of them has a card. They ask to use your account—but due to our privacy protection policy, staff can’t complete the transaction without your permission on file.
The good news? It’s super easy to fix!
Just call, email, or drop off a signed note letting us know who you’re authorizing. We’ll add the note to your account so grandma or grandpa can check out materials hassle-free.
